My current guilty pleasure in life is Funko Pops. I started out by buying just the ones based on characters I loved but then my husband got into it, and we became collectors. We started getting serious about it shortly before the summer and we have way too many now. It’s a fun family activity though and collecting them can be both awful and awesome. There are always new ones coming out and then, the exclusives, those are a whole other situation. My husband and I have almost completed our first full collection, the Venom/venomized Pops. We have a lot of Pops but that will be our first complete set. Currently, most Pops are worth more then you pay for them so they can act as an investment too, that is, if you’re willing to sell them. He is and I am, very much, not. But we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. So, what makes some of the exclusives awful? Well, Target exclusives are easily the worst. My heart actually sinks when I hear that a new Pop will be an only Target item. It seems Target’s employees like to hide them, making them almost impossible to find. The Target exclusives I’ve gotten are from times when the person I ask doesn’t care about Pops and they find me the hidden ones. I am quite sure someone gets angry about this later in the day. But, some are awesome like the ones that drop with conventions. It’s thrilling to stay up all night waiting on the sales to start online and hope you’ll be able to get the ones your after.

Written by Erica Rose Jackson I don’t usually cover up to date pop culture stories on my blog, but it’s the Backstreet Boys! They jumped back into the music world with their single ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ in May and it was greeted with so much love. It’s an excellent song that I’ve been listening to ever since it dropped. Today, the Boys dropped a second single and announced their album drop date along with a tour to follow! I’m going to break it all down for you because the teenager inside of me is literally jumping up and down, ecstatically! The new single is called ‘Chances’ and it’s another hit from Brian, Nick, AJ, Howie, and Kevin. This time, the song starts off a little slower and then builds into a hot track, which I was immediately addicted to. I am in love with the lyrics, like: "What are the chances that we'd end up dancing? Like two in a millions, like once in a life. I could have found you, put my arms around you." They dropped the video for ‘Chances’ as well, so watch and listen below! Their tenth studio album titled DNA will be available January 25th. DNA is going to be a combination off all the different sounds that have made up the Backstreet Boys sound over the years, like a full DNA panel of their career. I’m very excited to hear what else they have in store for us after the awesome ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’ and ‘Chances’. Along with all of this great news, the Backstreet Boys also announced a huge tour to go with their upcoming album. Make sure to check on ticket sale dates so you don't miss out! Written by Erica Rose Jackson As mentioned in my week twenty-one blog, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of my favorite shows so it seemed logical to share my favorite episodes. These fifteen are not ranked in any order, merely a list of the episodes I’ve enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, from the show’s seven year run. Some of these episodes are on here because they’re funny, others are terribly sad, while some are just television perfection. Also, I will always ship Bangel over every other relationship Buffy had, so you may notice more Angel episodes on my list. I hope you enjoy! And, please share some of yours with me. 'Hush'
'Beer Bad'
'Forever'
'Becoming'
'Chosen'
I loved watching Giles sword-fight, that will never not be sexy. Willow being able to get over her fears of her powers and be essential to defeating the First is a great piece of storytelling for her character. Joss Whedon closed out this show perfectly, even making Anya’s death ok. 'Prophecy Girl'
'Tabula Rasa'
then, as the episode moved forward, they started to realize things didn’t make sense. Unfortunately, ‘Tabula Rasa’ ends with a punch to the gut as we watch Giles leave while Michelle Branch sings ‘Goodbye To You’ and the rest of the Scoobies fall apart. 'What's My Line'
'Once More With Feeling'
Anthony Head has albums because he’s such a talented artist and this episode showcases that, his duet with Amber Benson on the ‘Standing (reprise)’ is one of my absolute favorites from the entire episode. 'Buffy Vs. Dracula'
Xander and Giles have some of the best scenes within the episode. Having Buffy actually fall under Dracula’s thrall for awhile was also refreshing, showing us that even the Slayer needed to break through the fog sometimes. 'Pangs'Buffy having a meltdown over creating the perfect Thanksgiving meal for her first year away from home is so relatable, well her whole transition to college is. But the ending fight scene is one of the best moments in the series, in my opinion. Having Spike tied up, desperate for food, making constant comments while the others are trying not to die always cracks me up. And Xander having the slip up at the end about Angel is almost as good as his ‘bitca’ moment. 'The Prom'
But the speech and Angel showing up at the prom, are the episodes highlights. ‘The Prom’ is one of those Buffy episodes that always turns me into a huge puddle of feels. 'Helpless'
Giles loses his job standing up for Buffy because he values their relationship more then the test. ‘Helpless’ is emotionally charged but so well done. Anthony Head and Sarah Michelle Gellar did an amazing job with their roles for this one. 'I Only Have Eyes For You'
which is only possible because it’s Buffy and Angel. Watching them be in love again while knowing it wasn’t real will tear your heart right from your chest, but it will also give you just a little bit of hope that they can be together in the end, somehow. 'Fear, Itself'
‘Fear, Itself’ has great moments for the Scoobies as they work through some of their issues since they’ve made the transition from High School to College. We see Anya’s first exhibit of her fear of bunnies, and we get Giles with a chainsaw. Written by Erica Rose Jackson Well, this is a challenging prompt because I love so many TV shows. I’m constantly adding more to my list of favorites but I’m going to have to be decisive and pick the best three. I guess this has to be based on how long I’ve loved the show, how it’s done in terms of cultural popularity, and if it made some change to my life after I started watching it. Did these shows have a lasting impression on me? Buffy The Vampire Slayer
What made Buffy so important? I was a little lost in high school because I changed schools for the second time starting at my Sophomore year. Buffy gave me what I needed at that time in my life. She was new to Sunnydale but she made friends, despite her calling as the chosen one. Buffy the Vampire Slayer had every aspect I could want in a show: drama, a little horror, comedy, action, a badass female lead, and the Scoobies. Magnum PI (the Original)
The relationship and banter between Magnum and Higgins (played by the late and very talented John Hillerman) was everything. Their fighting and deep, mutual understanding of each other got better with each passing year. When you add Rick (Larry Manetti) and TC (Roger E. Moseley) you have magic. Magnum PI wasn’t successful because of its action sequences or the cases Magnum solved. It was great because of the characters and the chemistry the actors brought to the relationships. Magnum had some of television’s firsts but for me, it’s the friendships that make it great. The Blacklist
The show has always suffered from a divided fan base and I’m really not sure the writers ever (or still don’t) have a game plan for the entire story. Spader continues to excel, even when they only give him a few scenes per episode choosing to focus on other characters and storylines. Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) was my second favorite character and I still (I don’t believe he’s really dead) ship him and Elizabeth (Megan Boone). Whether The Blacklist stays in my top three or moves down in the list, to be replaced, will depend on how the show handles the reveal from the season five finale. I am firm in my belief that Reddington truly is Reddington.
